The latest buzz from Tamil film cinema industry is that actress Anjali (she was seen in Kannada cinema Honganasu) has been banned from Tamil cinema industry for her bold reaction to the announcement of director Kalanjiyam who alleged that Anjali failed to attend shooting for his upcoming film 'Oor Sutri Puranam' and that has caused him a huge financial loss. The director had cautioned that he will not allow Anjali to act in any other film unless she fulfils her commitment for his film.

The Tamil Film Director's Association has imposed a ban on Actress Anjali to act in Tamil films based on a complaint filed by director Mu.Klanjiyam. Tamil film directors cannot make her act in their films until the ban is revoked. However the actress can continue acting in other language films.

Anjali is heroine for Power star Puneeth Rajakumar and director Pawan Wadeyar  ‘Dheera Rana Vikrama’. Can Anjali act in Kannada film with the imposition of ban?

Here is a statement Anjali issued to media in Chennai a few days ago: "dear all, I am completely problem free now n finished my Telugu movie shoot without any problem n starting Kannada movie with Puneeth Raj Kumar .. As I heard no one can stop my movie shoots, everyone knows that i never do any mistake so that they are supporting me n helping me... Now Who ever want to make movies with me please don't worry I will justify my roles as before n always... Thank you  ..."
